Massage School Introspection

So I’m a massage student right now, on top of all the other crazy things I do! I started the hands on clinical portion in June of this year, we had 120 hands on hours to complete before our next semester starts in December. I will be finished October 7th at 845!!! Which means a month and a half off!! Break time!

But, (yes I know I’m not supposed to start a sentence with but,) but it’s my blog! It is a little bittersweet. I found myself worrying about who is going to take care of my clients now, and if they will listen to their needs. Granted they really aren’t my clients, they come to school often and have probably gone through many different classes, but as I told each of them our appointments were going to be their last with me, the each expressed sadness. They each told me all the good things I have done for them and their unique issues. They totally made me feel like I was on the right track, and massage school was a great choice for my future planned retirement adventure.

After the 7th, I plan on keeping my manual skills fresh, so I’m hoping my friends and family will let me have some table time on them. I’m hoping to get a jump start on my pathology as well!

If anyone is thinking of Massage as a career venture, and you enjoy people and helping with chronic pain I would so advise giving it a try!
